Every few years, the calendar brings us both Christmas Day and New Year's Day on Sunday Morning. Join us at 11:00 a.m. in the sanctuary (English) and the Christian Life Center (Spanish) for a celebration of these special days.

At the heart of the meaning of Christmas, Christmas Eve, Fair Haven offers two ways to draw near to the manger: Traditional Communion at 7pm; Come and Go Communion 8-9pm

Church folks with the joy of Christmas to share meet to sing carols in the homes of those who aren't able to get out for the sights and sounds of Christmas.

Fair Haven musical groups join other churches in presenting the Christmas story at the Spring Valley Village City Park 6-8pm December 18th.

Annual Food Pantry Distribution at Christmas takes many volunteers with lots of smiles!

Annual Handbell Concert features Christmas favorites.

Fair Haven sanctuary will feature the interplay of music, kids in costume, the story of Christmas, and the wonderful light of hope and faith.

Kids will discover what Santa eats for breakfast, eat some yummy food themselves, sit in Santa's lap if desired, and enjoy seasonal crafts on Saturday, December 3rd in the church's Fellowship Hall, 9am

At 11am in the Fair Haven Sanctuary on Sunday, November 27, an historic lessons and carol service will highlight the story of God's activity in the world, culminating in the birth of Jesus.

Sermon preached on Ascension Sunday about being "stuck" between what has been and what will be. Acts 1:6-14. Winnie the Pooh visiting Rabbit and the last shuttle launch help the consideration of "being stuck" and the angels' question: "Why do you stand here looking in the sky?"

Some of you requested me to post this sermon, preached on April 10, 2011 after about a 15 year interval from it's first appearance in worship here. I continue to draw strength the scripture and the story.
